Drawing/Illustration: Venues & Galleries

When I was brought on to the Olio Festival Operations team in 2012, I knew right away that I would illustrate all their venues. This was no small task: Olio Festival has 6 genres: music, fine art, film, comedy, fashion and skateboarding!!!!!! So the range of buildings I'd be drawing were varied in aesthetic and location. It was wildly successful, both in personal satisfaction and enjoyment, and also in their inclusion in the festival's website and guidebook. Jason Sulyma, Olio's director, thanked me for loosening up the guidebook, giving it a much needed approachable vibe.
