Photography: Live Music & Events

Digital photography of live music performances. A wide variety of artists and bands are covered at a wide variety of venues, from small clubs to full size stadiums. I use a Nikon D90 camera, 35mm f1.8 and 17-55mm f2.8 lenses, and occasionally borrow longer lenses, when needed, from helpful friends. I try my best to capture strong original images, but if needed, I work in Photoshop to bring out the best in my photos. On ongoing project, shooting live music performances is an absolute blast. There's nothing quite like going to see music performed live and having a media pass to shoot photos in impossibly difficult conditions - namely, high action in low light.
