Photodocumentation: Crista Dahl Retrospective @ VIVO

I was hired by VIVO Media Arts to photograph the opening of Crista Dahl's Retrospective, called Life Rhythm. This was an incredibly momentous occasion, as VIVO is celebrating their 40th year, and Crista was with VIVO that very first year. It was a fantastic evening, with people who have had a connection with Crista, spanning four decades of creative life. The show was quite diverse, with an entire room dedicated to her massive library, including rows of file folders and video loops, another room with her paintings, drawings, sculpture and projection. There was a short music set as well, in the larger back studio. Dinka Pignon, long time education coordinator at VIVO, had these kind words to say: "Wonderful pictures! And Crista looks so gorgeous on all of them!" and "Really-really great photos, just like the last time with Terry's show. You're the best!! Hats off and deep bows."
